Mexicana Airlines calculates fares with Lufthansa Systems solution
Starting in October, the Mexican airline will be using ProfitLine/Price from Lufthansa Systems. The integrated software solution provides crucial support in the fast, flexible and cost-effective design and monitoring of its pricing structures. The process-oriented and user-friendly concept of ProfitLine/Price enables airlines to generate fare systems and publish them in the relevant systems quickly and efficiently.
Based on a comprehensive database, the solution delivers up-to-the-minute information and analyses about the prices and fare structures of competitors and Mexicana Airlines itself, thus creating an essential prerequisite for reactive and proactive pricing. ProfitLine/Price forecasts the impact of fare changes on revenues so that Mexicana Airlines can react to changes in the market faster than its competitors.
Mexicana Airlines will be using ProfitLine/Price as an Application Service Providing (ASP) model, which provices easy and quick access over the Internet. Lufthansa Systems will host the solution on servers in its Kelsterbach data center and provide all functionalities in a cost-efficient manner.
Mexicana Airlines is Mexico's leading airline. It operates a dense route network in North, Central and South America with more than 350 connections per day to 56 destinations, 30 of which are located in Mexico. |
