AiRUnion carriers optimize revenue management with Lufthansa Systems ProfitLine Yield solution
Newly founded airline alliance AiRUnion has decided to deploy Lufthansa Systems’ O&D based ProfitLine/Yield revenue management solution. AiRUnion is the airline network of KrasAir, Omskavia, Sibaviatrans, Domodedovo Airlines, Samara Airlines and SAT Airlines. Serving more than 5.5 million passengers annually, the AiRUnion alliance forms Russia's second largest carrier.
ProfitLine/Yield O&D offers all functionalities that are necessary for AiRUnion to optimize its network revenues. The solution analyzes complete passenger itineraries based on O&D data (Origin & Destination) and passenger name records (PNRs). As a result, airlines gain precise knowledge regarding the development of traffic flows in their entire route network, allowing an optimized management of flight and fare offerings.
It is AiRUnion's goal to become Russia's leading airline network. In a first step toward reaching this goal, the company has decided to adapt its IT systems as quickly as possible to managing larger networks. "The comprehensive functionality of ProfitLine/Yield from Lufthansa Systems enables us to manage our network optimally. We expect the new system to boost our revenues and increase our flexibility in responding to market developments," comments Boris Abramovich, CEO of KrasAir, on the decision.
For the implementation at AiRUnion, Lufthansa Systems will cooperate closely with the Moscow firm TAIS Transport Automation Information Systems, a subsidiary of Ultitek, Ltd. |
