Air Seychelles opts for Airport Obstacle Database from Lufthansa Systems
Lufthansa Systems and Air Seychelles have signed a contract for the IT provider's proven Lido
Airport Obstacle database. Thanks to speedy contract negotiations and a short delivery period,
Air Seychelles can immediately benefit from the database. The Lido Airport Obstacle database
contains all relevant information required for applications to determine take-off performance
data. Every airport data set comes with a customized engine-out procedure, Engine Out Standard
Instrument Departures (EOSIDs). These procedures are analyzed for optimum results in terms of
payload and safety, taking into account obstacles as well as engine/airframe combinations.
Air Seychelles was particularly satisfied with the high quality and excellent service provided
by Lufthansa Systems.
The national airline of the Republic of Seychelles has been operating international flights
since 1983. The airline today connects Mahé with six European capitals and nine major cities
around the Indian Ocean. The flight schedule also includes numerous inter-island flights
every day.
