New rostering for Braathens with Lufthansa Systems’ NetLine
Aiming to improve their service quality, Braathens, Norway’s largest airline, has opted for the PrefOptimizer NetLine/Crew module. Crew members can enter their personal preferences for a given bidding period in PrefOptimizer, e.g. for flights to specific destinations, night stops and layovers, weekend duties, or early/ late check-in, etc.

The roster optimizer distributes the duties, taking into account individual preferences and conditions. The crew member's satisfaction is calculated by way of a so-called fulfilment factor based on the number of fulfilled bids.

Braathens has been using Lufthansa Systems’ NetLine solution since May 2002 for their crew management, flight operations and maintenance control. The airline operates a network to 41 destinations within Norway and Europe.
