Air China Cargo implements Lufthansa Systems' Weight & Balance (WAB) System

Air China Cargo, one of the leading air cargo companies in the Chinese market, has implemented Lufthansa Systems' Weight & Balance (WAB) System for pre-flight planning, load planning and optimization. Furthermore, the system supports Weight & Balance documentation.

This proven solution allows Air China Cargo to optimize its ground handling processes by taking over many activities that previously had to be handled manually. It is designed to automate and optimize all load control related processes, to relieve personnel of routine tasks and to accelerate the aircraft handling process in general. Also, the Lufthansa Systems WAB solution system interfaces with other systems for check-in, crew management, flight path planning and reservations, to name just a few. As a result, Air China Cargo will be able to reduce costs, improve the loading capacity and aircraft security.

The solution was originally developed by Lufthansa Systems in partnership with its customer Lufthansa. It has since been enhanced to meet the needs of customers like Air Canada, LOT and bmi.
